Skyjack started making platform scissor lifts in 1986. In the 1990`s the company had matured to more than 30 percent market share and became the leader in the world in the aerial lift truck industry.

In the past 10 years, Skyjack was purchased by the Linamar Corporation, a leading maker of assemblies, modules and precision machined components. Today, Skyjack has manufacturing facilities in the US, Canada and Hungary with additional support offices in Europe and Asia.

Skyjack became the leader in the industry of aerial hoist machinery by combining features such as durability, quality and serviceability, making their own scissor platform lifts known worldwide for product efficiency and reliability. Skyjack proudly manufactures a full line of self-propelled scissor platform lifts. Their elevated work heights reach nearly 56 feet. The company`s current Boom lift model series has telescopic booms ranging from forty five feet to seventy one feet. Skyjack has plans to further extend their boom lift truck product line. The business is still a dominant player in the industry adjusting rapidly to the continually changing requirements of all of their clients.

Skyjack`s acquisition of Carelift Equipment was completed in August of 2007. Most recently, their acquisition of Volvo`s Material Handling Equipment business expands Skyjack`s Telehandler product offering. The resulting Zoom Boom and VR series telehandlers together with the additional production ability further guarantees the company`s growth and success.
